Bad Company

Soberlink is unreliable, full of false positives, disrespectful customer service, slow responses, and will do anything to protect their reputation. Do not agree to use soberlink voluntarily. You will be painted as an alcoholic and there will be soberlink false positives, declined identity, and outages. Service outages occur at they send a notification the service outage is on their end 8 hours later. Good luck with your custody that started 5 hours ago.

Worst customer service of any company i've ever dealt with

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
My package allows for '20 days'. Last month, I went one day and one test over. This results in a $75 fee. I called and emailed for a 'one time exception, and was giving the legal "you agreed to this in the contract, so no, you have to pay $75 for taking one additional test". As soon as our contract is done, I'll be looking for a company that has a 'human' kind of customer service. Goodbye Soberlink! GFY!

Partially their fault

I funny know what the issue with the device is but on several occasions false positives have shown up. .006 or so.

On two occasions its also been positive after the first test. Note their site claims that if its environmental exposure the second test will NOT be positive. This has led my ex to enter into costly hearings to try and take my children away. I haven't touched a drop of alcohol since my incident and now 8 months later this is still happening.

The only saving grace is my cars iid shows the device is wrong. I drink nothing but water for at least half an hour leading up to each test.

Mt recommendation to them is at least allow for an hour before sending false positives to volatile narcissistic abusers who are only using it as a tool to hurt people. I have no intention of drinking again but if I have to spend on another hearing in going to be furious.

Yup. 3 false positives.

My ex tried to use it to take full custody. I did a hair test that went back 90 days to prove my innocence. Judge threw out the use of soberlink during the next court date.

But the anxiety and stress it gave me in the meantime would cause a real alcoholic to drink. Thanks soberlink!

Exact same situation for me.

Bluetooth won't connect

I went to test this morning and instead of the blue bar that reads submit test, it read accept Bluetooth. I'm not a tech savvy guy but, I urgently need help to meet my testing windows this morning.

Nothing has gone wrong. I have received amazing service with the representatives at Sober Link, to order new devices, activate and sometimes troubleshoot. Everything has always gotten resolved.

Not sure what to think about 90%of the other complaints.

From my experience. I've been on it since May 6th and today is July 26th. I can't believe how inaccurate it is. I've drank up to a half hour before the test, and they have all been negative. I'm not a heavy drinker. I sip to maintain but by the end of the day. I would think that it would show something. Until today I barely had a sip and all the way up to an hour later was still showing...weird but mostly it seems completely incorrect in my favor!

Buy back program

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I used their device for 18 months for a court ordered parental situation the device worked fine and when I was done with it they offered me a buy back program to try to recoup the $2,500 I dished out so I sent it back in the same box with the same packaging I received it in charger case and extra tubes that I repackaged myself dropped it off at a fedex pickup and weeks later after multiple calls I talked to a woman said she received the device and they were working on the refund. Weeks later still no refund multiple calls they tell me they received an empty box. Very unprofessional very deceptive and wouldnt trust this company whatsoever. I was hoping to recoup a few hundred dollars and for sure big letdown. Scammers and atrocious to deal with

Liars and untrustworthy

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

It's given me false positives .2.to a .08 in 15 minutes then zero 15 later. The reason I'm on this is because I don't have a superhuman liver anymore.

Called and they tried to get me to reset it over the phone. Ended up saying the device was faulty and they will overnight a new one for free, just send the other one back. 3 days later it showed and I activated it. Then they sent me a 600+ dollar bill for a "New Refurbished" device and overnight shipping.

Asked them if I can have the old one I already bought back and they said you don't really own them. Fast forward 4 months still sober no missed or Non-Compliant tests and get into a double billing dispute, said *** it whatever I had my daughter the next day, shaved, had a haircut and blew an hour later, now they cannot confirm my identity since then and I must have someone else blowing or some *** and now I lost my kid.

Horrible customer service

The site went down in 2021 and they blamed google. They have given false readings on numerous occasions. They overcharge and charge additional for recalibrating their for their own shortcomings. If the device is faulty they blame the user and will only look at it for a large fee. They will tell you one thing on the phone and deny it all later.

I know we are not the only one’s! Also, you cannot thoroughly disinfect it as it will detect any cleaning solvent and register a false positive or error!

I’m angry

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have purchased a sober link device a couple of months ago. It has never worked properly. The main problem Ive had lately is it reporting in accurate results, such a showing up positive alcohol contact when none exist. For example, I will submit a test and it will come back and say that I have, for example, a point to alcohol contact in my breath and then it tells me to retest every 15 minutes for about an hour and an hour and a half. Ive complained of the company about this through text, phone calls, and email. All I get is a run around and I am extremely dissatisfied
